I too have just tried TA Spring on my machine, with exactly the same results: Only the "Empty Script" works - all others crash when pressing Enter to start. I also did the same - lowering all the specs to absolute minimum, disabling all the "extras", etc. Always crashes. Have submitted one error report/dump.

My specs:

OS: Windows XP Home (SP2)
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2, 4200+
Gfx: GeForce 6600GT, 128MB, dual DVI out
RAM: 2 GB
HDD: 160GB SATA, 90GB free

Anyone out there who's experienced this problem found any solution yet?

Arg, it seems compleatly random... I know for a fact that vechs uses nearly the exact same system you have but he hosts games all the time, the only major difference is he has a better gforce... I wonder if it has to do with the XP home 64 bit interface... as that seems to be common factor...

Flozi are you running XP pro?

Keep sending error reports into zaphod, maby he can figure out a solution...

Belmakor (Seeing your pc hardware I think it's you), your crashreport indicated a crash within the nvidia driver.
In a very unlikely case it could be some unrelated pointer bug, but it could also be a video driver bug.

In any case, do you have the most recent video driver update?

Hi Zaphod,

Yes, it's probably me. I'll make sure I have the latest drivers then try again.

Well, downloaded the newest drivers (released only a day or so ago!) and ran using them - am able to play now.

Thanks :)

Now to re-learn how to play this game (been quite a while since I played TA)

Crashes when I press return if running any except blank script.
About to try updated nvidia drivers.

Update: that fixed it. Old drivers were 66.93 and new are 81.98.
I am guessing with an empty script it creates nothing at all so it doesn't expose the driver bug.
Thanks!
