But honestly its such a good deal as is I dont really care so much. Ill upgrade some time later, 2.8 ghz (which I am sure I could bump up to at least 3) hexacore for only 200 usd? Thats what I call a deal.

okay everything is bought besides a discrete gpu. Ill post pics when everything comes in, because I think I might actually have a nice color theme going on (my case is black with blue lights, and I realized that all the components I bought are black or blue lol)

You don't need an unlocked multiplier to get good clocks as long as you have some FSB and voltage headroom.

For example I'm using a 3 ghz CPU, unfortunately I have to choose between 3.45 GHZ w/ 1150 RAM or 3.6+ GHZ with much slower RAM, since my motherboard won't allow more than 2.1v to the RAM. (it's an old faithful socket 775)

honestly for only 200 bucks i get 6 cores that i can get to at least 3.5 ghz. considering my last cpu was a dual core 2.8 ghz i think i will find this new processor quite acceptable. hell the dual core wasnt limiting at all for day to day use.

i hooked up the fans and lights on my case today and i have to say it was pretty exciting. never had blue leds in my computer before.

They weren't really available until the late 90s.

I almost bought a couple of blue cathode tubes but I resisted my trolling urge.

But really I am pretty happy about my blue led fans. You cant hear them, so in order to know that something is happening they light up. I am going to put some leds in my power supply and cpu cooler too, since I think that logic is pretty much infallible. Im watching an auction for a TRUE Black and then ill put led fans on that too that match the ones on my case. This is really a revelation I am having here, the idea that computers can have lights.

Also thought about buying these accessories for my 7 empty 5.25 inch slots:

Hello everyone. I just built my rig, and I found out that even without a gpu i can run spring at max settings at 30 fps. So basically im back online and im ready to kick some ass. If you think you are better than me then pm me in the lobby (i usually go by kiki, o_o, or epicock). We can fix that in no time.

yes but it's easier to play when you can see the game

Okay well i had it on max settings and it went down to 3-5 fps on a huge dsd game. still, not bad for an integrated chip.
