Your still not reading what I'm saying
  • Simple gadget is simple
  • All of us have the ability to test this, including YOU
  • Its should be possible to disable this gadget
  • I said that it shouldn't be removed from the engine until said gadget is a tried and tested solution
If for some reason you believe that you need to repost your list then I can only assume that either you are needlessly reposting my own conclusions, or you did not understand and need me to make yet another post.

I have great news for you:
You want the nanoframe replaced by custom effect? You can already!

So leave the engine alone.

TBH since it involves OpenGL stuff you better assume it is broken on at least some set of cards.

That is a way more realistic assumption then assuming that if X persons didn't find any bugs in testing, there are no bugs. It only means they didn't find them!

As for keeping it in engine while gadget is being made, that seems nice, but it still requires user interaction if there are issues in it, since it's pretty much impossible to detect e.g. rendering artifacts or drivers switching to software rendering -> no way to make automatic fallback code.
