What i argued initially is that marketers and game devs make chars with are suppose to be very sexually attractive cause they underestimate my intelligence and ability to spot a good game and try it even if it has women/men with realistic average proportions.
This fact sometimes makes me not try games.
Like this one.
I will try this only after someone who's opinion i trust will tell me its awesome.

I think you are looking into it too deeply. A game has never gotten good reviews based soley on the attractiveness of its game characters.

But at the same time, developers know that people are going to have more fun playing as attractive interesting characters. I mean, who wants to play a game as some pudgy middle-aged balding man. Or design him in the first place. When you can design a character to be anything of course you are going to make it beautiful and exotic. And people in general are going to have more fun with that character then too.

If games focused on realism they would end up looking like this: http://www.theonion.com/content/video/u ... videoembed

Well no.
I would have no problems playing as some old guy if it fits the story.
In fact playing "beautiful" people does not make it more interesting.
Flawed/visually unattractive characters,if it fits the plot/overall design can be just as satisfying for me if not more.
enjoying a game is partially about immersing yourself in it.
Playing as visually perfect characters/dolls in most cases does not satisfy me.

this game is about visual appeal. That is key to it's game design, which is what you are missing.

This game is meant to produce good gameplay videos and stills that make guys happy in their pants. Both of those things correlate nicely with sales figures, but have no impact, positive or otherwise, on the quality of gameplay.

Still, it has good pedigree - the Devil May Cry series is generally well-regarded.

Entirely incorrect, being a badassed glamorzon who violently dismembers things is much more exciting to play than say a regular joe in street clothes who just shoots people in the head.

Bloody and outlandish violence is part and parcel with this sort of action game it is the "action" part that excites players.

most games of this style are either great or shit. DMC, NG, GOW, all good examples, hell even max payne was a decent example.

Yes I understand It sells well but i do not belong to those numbers and find it silly and tiresome to be constantly playing with barbie or ken.
Also i think a game can be visually appealing without having porn stars in it.

Max payne looked like a regular dude.

Ryu, Bayonetta and dante do not look like ken or barbie.

Any video game character that is a human looks like a pornstar. There are a lot of pornstars.

Although I would laugh if I had a game where I played peter north and decapitated people with his wang.

I wanted to go to the ones in vegas, would be funny to see those people in real life. Porn stars are people after all. I think panda would like to meet Giana micheals. Personally I don't know if I would want to meet many of them but would probably ask for some tips.

Actually it is not that strange to remember some names as compared to female actresses there are very few male performers. So these dudes have taken part in hundreds - thousands of films.

So, aside from being incredibly hilarious, most of this thread has no value and is not relevant to Bayonetta. Do you want it split, Panda, or do you want to just run with it?

It's not a big deal to me, but I suppose it should be split to make it more organized.
