Its neatly categorized and it does not take much space.
Awesome!
I tried it out last night, and (except for the short delay and lack of custom formations) I'm fully behind it!
Maybe bind it to double right click?

Lol no.. its fastest now .. i hate to repeat myself but YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HOLD AND WAIT FOR IT TO APPEAR.
Just paint a gesture while holding right mouse without waiting for the menu.
In fact i think i will remove "hold to make menu appear" function. It seems to be confusing users.

As soon as you move a bit the menu will appear as normal..

It seems that using buildbar as main place to build units is not ideal.
Problem is it appears in the middle of screen (can be fixed by moving it around) and that it shows units in one long line..
We can either try to improve it, or use other/default buildmenu for factory units.
Also there is annoying lag between click and visible response (unitqueued)

Why not make the buildbar show the units vertically instead of horizontally ? ( Like in command & conquer )

You can do it now, ctrl+f11 and move it around.
But imo its still not good, list is just too long i think

Widget devs can make custom widget settings that work in CrudeMenu:
