its linear as far as i know, at max range its exactly half of what it is at point blank iirc. And the 35 is the max dmg.

also the point where the laser hits, determines the damage, i dont know whats it called again.

But i think indeed the weasel should be a bit thougher, or the jeffy dps a bit weaker.

What would be nice is for the rest of the screen to be tinted black and disabled so players can't make any orders or anything whilst the game is paused.

I know a lot of 1v1 players are angered when they have to go answer the phone or something and when they get back, the enemy has everything queued and the whole game planned out on a timeline :P

But the game is often paused just for the reason of queuing, ie. when you take someones stuff.

I think that'd be quite an easy mod option actually.. "Allow orders while paused, default yes".

Will look into it.

It's only fair to let the taker to manage the new stuff. It's not the teams fault that someone dropped/left and they should not be penalized for it.

In before "delay orders until unpause" lua widget?

It'd be a pretty small advantage to have i'd be surprised if anyone went to the effort, but something like setting all units to noselect would make such a widget much harder to write and definitely not worth the time (i'm not interested in discussing how someone can modify their spring.exe and the usual escalation of discussion that follows as this is all hypothetical).

Great idea!

I don't have a link handy, but I also heard about a volume control widget as well. This would be incredibly useful, as it's not particularly easy to set the volume in game using /volume 0.124 or whatever it wants.

For some reason my laptop volume up/down keys don't work when I'm playing Spring, and neither does alt-tabbing, so in game volume is my only option if the game has started.

On this note the new unit give reminder seems to not be very noticeable when a player quits using the "Give everything to x" feature.

Could the "You are paused" widget instead just be a gadget that prevented you from scrolling or clicking units? That's how other games with that feature seem to work.
