Spring RTS Engine

and the built in feature for mods don't work... try it. Then talk shit.

Use the menu tools->reload maps/mods.

There are two lobby clients, TASClient and SpringLobby. Contrary to TASClient, SpringLobby doesn't try to reload maps/mods when you doubleclick on a battle to join it. (I take it you are using SpringLobby.)

Builtin feature for mods? What do you mean?

In SpringLobby, go to Tools->Reload maps and mods. It should work. If it doesn't, check your files to make sure they're in the right folder - extensions don't say much, either can be .sdz or .sd7 or maybe some other kind I don't know about. If that doesn't work, check SpringLobby's settings to see if it's checking the right directory. If THAT doesn't work, there's probably something wrong.

If by "builtin feature for mods" you mean the downloader, then yeah, in my experience that has never worked right. Just use jobjol and reload assets once download is complete. If you're sure you have the map once you've joined a game, click Refresh in the minimap screen in the upper right.

Ok, why would the spring client not reload maps?

Just out of the blue, it's a question that I can think of... I'm extremely drunk, I have 5 bitches here, I'm distracted, but why would spring not reload the maps?

Um, I can think of 5 reasons -

1. cuz, maps suck.

2. Maps are not important, nobody needs fucking maps anyway.

3. Well, cuz we don't fucking care if you have the map.

4. Nubs are un-welcome here... even if you have the map... get lost!

5. FUCK NUBS.
