I've actually read the entire father's series, several times. But none of the son's or other spin off novels.

sheilds can be penetrated by stunners right? basicly a low velocity syringe gun. why not just develop rapid fire versions with huge ammo banks. goodbye, knives.

Good choice imo. God Emperor of Dune is an epically boring book. the later ones are reasonably interesting reads though.
