You can release it as it is, people can use an mp3 player until a widget with battlemusic handling etc is out.

if you hand it to the mods, people who download the mod will have it... so i don't quite see why wouldn't you want to release it.

A widget for playing music has been out some time now... Stealth wrote one. Just release the tracks under GPL/Public Domain/CC-SA/whatever, if people like 'em, they'll get used.
Wish they were more like the stuff I have in P.U.R.E., you guys are talented but it's just not an equivalent style. Been hard to find anybody who can actually do that kind of music consistently though.

LOL... that wasn't meant as a recruiting thing.
I'm basically just trying to say:
1. There's a whole game out now that has music.
2. There's a Widget available, it's not my proprietary tech, that can be used by anybody.
There are no technical issues, basically. Just make music, release music, if people like it, it will get used. All this talk about how X needs to be developed is pretty much silly, none of that's necessary. I could convert their MP3s to OGG and have them playing in my game in under an hour, right now.

@argh
you are utterly full of shit
how can you say that music isn't equivalent due to style?

Sorry, I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I wasn't judging the aesthetic quality, just saying that it's not a good fit for what I'm doing. I hope that another game picks up your work.

Dont let argh discourage you, I would love to hear original music for spring! I can also help you extend steaths music widget should the need arise.

reeeeet
you could have just said that it doesnt fit your game??? lol
and @ beherith, what I would want is that it works as efficiently at the highest bit rate possible and if you could try and allow it to use mebe 32 bit sounds? or even 64 bit sounds, cus then it would be amazing, but only for 64 bit pc's etc so you could make two or something like my idea with a high bandwidth one and a low bandwidth one
thanks for offering help man =]

I would like to see it done!
Code to integrate music into game should be simple - even in dynamic way or mission driven/scripted.
Once widget is done for CA mod, any mod can reuse it.
