First of all dont get all excited.. i just dont take such movies seriously.
I see them as entertainment not art.
Thats just my subjective opinion.
Its not about the costum its about a batman..lol..
the entire idea of a super hero in that movie's setting is silly.
The movie resembled The departed in its style not spiderman.
I think a 8/10 is excellent...no movie wil lever get a 10 so...i would have givven it a 9 if it didnt have batman or at least someone would have killed him in the end..
also there were some less believable scenes like the guy that tried to kill the one that wanted to say who batman was when the joker threatened to blow up a hospital...and all th people coming to look for this guy as if to kill him..i guess it might be possible for such athinkto happen but i think they could have not had that guy that tried to shoot him.
Ok,after reading nor's post again i decided imust edit this.
I did get the movie and i did say i liekd it and it is a very well made movie.I liekd everything about it except batman..thats all..i didnt expect it to be anything.
No need for any personnal insults over some movie..
My personal opinion?you have been the victom of batmans marketing campaign.
They had like a huge viral marketing campaign so..
I was actually am mor enthusiastic about this movie im just trying to restrain myself since im obviously influanced by all this aura arround it..which isnt nessesarily cause its so great but due to the heavy advertising and the fact ledger died.

Oww, thats a personal insult, zebras guys, couldn't you see me wet and excited for it, because i honestly didn't care till after i saw it. I still have to slap that stupid bitch women down the road who told me it was a shitty movie, because the movie was about a clown who outsmarted the town and turned it into a circus... ),:

I kno engli ist not main language, but the conspiracy is ledger died conveniently to advertise the movie, hes realy obn that tropical island, with elvis, johnny cash, and a few others.
I take 1/10 as a complement. 1 of course being the best.

I wonder what you would of thought if it was a book, if you classify and sterotypic everything these days.

Let´s all form a huge jokerfanboy comunity- all we need are some scissors, and that mirror over there would do- smile like a filmstar, in under 0.5 Seconds, that gives the Job "Cutter" a complete new meaning...

Greatest magic trick ever.
Also if you can see it in Imax you must it makes the movie much better.
And I say give him the Oscar, that was an amazing performance.

I think a hero in a darker, gritty setting is precisely how it should be, and that the scores of other films got it wrong. Of course, I didn't see Batman due to the advertising, but rather the source material.
Yan seems to be under the impression that comic book heroes are the one-dimensional creatures written in this decade, the late nineties, the seventies, etc... that's fine, but that isn't the character that I enjoy and it isn't the one drawn upon for this film. In my view, Batman adds to rather than detracts from the content, without him there is no film and no reason to flow from realistic moral ambiguity and irrelevance to the darker moral complex represented.
Of course, I desired more than this film rendered, but there has only been one film in my experience to deliver complete satisfaction, and I consider this a weakness of the medium. Passive entertainment that saturates your senses will always be flawed for me, because it interferes with the realm of the imagination and delivers lesser unavoidable content as a replacement.

Ill allow my self to smile a bit and roll my eyes after reading your comment....maybe save your criticism of the entire film industry to a more approprite place?we all undertsand what a complex creatureyou are but we were talkign about this specific film..
Batman is batman.
Everything about him starting from his name is semi funny.
His batcave his fear of bats etc...
As i said this movie reminded me of "the departed" and even the joker was credible as a lunatic that wears makeup..the only thing that wasnt believable is a "Batman".
I did write that this batman movie is great but that it can never reach the realm of credebility cause of the batman, again,a semi comical character.

Batman unwillingly comicaly- how dare you, i mean superman and his Tiberiumfear okay, but bashing Batman, that means you bash Catwoman- my favourite SM-Villian- this could get you in a- interesting Bitchfight...
but wait, you just envy him, that´s all there is, you are a poor nerd, envying a Richman who spends his day hunting Lunatics in a black Latexsuit.. quite understandable, i mean, i envy him for nearly the Same Reasons
I hate Batman, because he ain´t me! And now Alfred Champagne.. to your good health, this and future discoverys...
THere is no better Way to provoke People then to stomp over there fond childhood Memorys& Comicheroes...

hey,I used to watch batman all the time.
There was a batman series that was grim and cool before the new batman was made where bruce is old.
The one where he had a long long batmna car that looked like a coffin on wheels.
