ok some new stuff

they till need some changes, and i think im eliminating the round one, i really dont like it
in a hurry now, next thing to do is the gun/turret from machios drawing

imo go for a different style on the base.

Yeah, since the base is static, you could put in wires and tubes and recharge ports and all that fun stuff all over it if you wanted to.

Hoi in that pic of 6 I like 1 and 2 - I agree the round one doesn't really work.

Also, I thought if you wanted to change it more drastically, a 5-sided dish shape with 3 struts coming together in the centre would look cool (like a satellite dish). Then we could have a really cool half second charging effect making the dish glow green energy then discharge fat green lazer pow!

Does this really look good? I am not sure how to make this constructive, but I will say it anyway. That round hlt gives me lulz. Seeing that next to a mr. D model, causing an outbreak of lulz. Seeing that shooting at pewees, causing an outbreak of epic lulz.

Can you try to at least be constructive enough for me to understand the intended meaning of your post?

I was reading this and it just inspired me to doodle a little something on the gimp. I don't really like the idea of a Gatling gun (which I presume is the inspiration for the name Gaat) only having three barrels. It just doesn't fit the name.

For decoration I originally just put boxes, and then imagined them to be ejection slots for bullet casings, but then I remembered that this is a laser cannon and doesn't have bullets >.> I know you can't model steam, it would have to be done somewhere else, but It would be neat just the same.

Anyway, I'm just throwing ideas out there. I hope I can help.

could use Lua/cob to make it emit smoke when shooting

The AH-1 Cobra gunships use a 3 barreled Gatling cannon, and the Russian Mi-24 Hind uses a 4 barreled cannon.

Its not the number of barrels but how you use em

Core uses odd numbers like 3 and 5 in many of their unit designs from OTA as well so its fitting, Arm units usually have weapons and extra body parts using even numbers, just another distinguishing difference between Arm and Core units.
