Ugh... ambient/specular lighting for the units should be a fair bit less yellow

WIN!

Those spherebots look reallly cool in that screenshot, and I never noticed how they compliment the arm com. However, they do look a bit too lethal, peewees should use the original wimpy looking model, and the spherebot should be used for some awesome t2 kbot.

Maverick or zeus would be good candidates. I think they should have a little more rounded prisms, because then they would really fit.

Some pics of a hackish WWII half-mod-ish thingie I did a year ago, never published it... More for my own fun... :P
http://chr.navi.ee/WWII.rar (.rar archive, 10 pics, pictures are in a random order, some are from early stages of development)
I didn't know how to map in .s3o back then.

Considering what you were working with... shudder. Damn, good attempt, I like the feel despite the OTA textures. Have you seen S44, by the by?

Man those tanks look so cool. The graphics on those screenshots just look unrealisticly good.

sort of a shame the trees look so bad in comparison.

Yup, i've been watching the progress of S44 ever since it was announced.
And yeah, those S44 tanks are really good lookin'. Keep it up!

P.S. If anyone wants, here it is(the hackish mod:P) : http://chr.navi.ee/tiger.hpi
The new spring version doesn't seem to support .hpi files, sadly, but works with earlier versions(using a xta mod, in the arm com's menu).
But the menu might be a tad incomplete, and has few pictures(mostly invisible buttons).
Well, enjoy!

jk, will you be adding reflections and acquiring the light from the map? that white is not the light I set in that map.

Re: Cool screenshots

reflections and refraction are coming

@light
after i found out which value i have to take ^^
cos the current water shaders don't have any bump mapping, those values are mostly unused atm, so i need to experiment a bit (perhaps extracting the hue and using a constant lighting+saturation value etc.).

cool, good luck, I take it this is some lua or is this more play with the spring shaders?

atm it is written in lua + an engine patch, but i will later translate it in c++

lua: cos it is much more flexible (you don't need to recompile whole spring, if you changed a small parameter etc.)

c++: has much more power like foam for ships, shore detection, water explosion callins etc.
