well I can't get myself to care too much about it, but apparently you can pretend to have several people agree with you or get people to bother reading your posts after pitching a lot of badly thought out ideas.

yeah because its perfectly understandable that multiple people who joined up yesterday that nobody knows about are bumping someone's opinions

You acted like you were a new user in order to make it seem like your oppinions have support. You are smurfing and pretending to be someone else, telling people otherwise doesn't make that less true.

I think there is some discrepancy in the meaning of smurfing here. As far as I understand, "smurf" is anyone using a second (or third, or fourth... :) ) account instead of the original. I think that should be forbidden.
why do you think it should be forbidden?

I would say about smurfing in general, who cares. The problem is when you start sock puppeting, as Mr. Topic here did.
Another problem is pretending to be a noob when joining a game, but that doesn't apply to the forums.

I had already said reason on last post and was to lazy to write again :)
Because I think that smurfing will be used for bad stuff (Like being a jerk and make a new account to be a jerk some more winhout being ignored or making a new account to go around a ban) much more that it will be for good/harmless stuff (I cant even think in an example to put here)
