No, I am not installing linux or whatever, I would have to HOPE wine runs all of my software. Don't start on the whole, linux runs everything bit either.

When I suggested ubuntu I did not suggest it as an alternative to windows.
I suggested it as a live cd to use while you're fixing windows, there's quite a big difference.
It's like going on holiday to japan and not using yen because when you get back home you're going to be using dollars, so why bother eating drinking and sleeping in japan with those yen when you'll have dollars when you get home?

OR you could have a backup copy of your windows cd ;>

And I was tossing that statement out there before the linux flood began. Off to take my first exam. I finish them tomorrow and then I may be able to get with some friends and find a windows cd.
