revised heightfield.

cliffs are thinned
breach in cliffs added
land bridge to outer islands added
land masses enlarged.
There is also a slope on the outer island so units can drive up the hill after crossing the landbridge.

HAPPY NAO!?!? speak now as I will not redo this process again!
just quoting so the image and info stays.

I agree with AF,

It should be a new name for the map. Also, is it possible to add
metal splats, to show where the metal deposits are located? Looking
at the screen shot I don't see any.

Other then that it looks great ...

bear in mind people this is just a heightfield not that the map is turning into a desert map it is just a heightfield. As is the landscape geomitry, it is going to take a whole evening to texture this HEIGHTFIELD and I need you guys to say what you think of the new heightfield before I make the texture!

i kinda like it liek that.. can you make a bloody tesxture ..so it will resemble the hightmap :) the whole yellowish red thing looks unusual and fun..

That isn't the texture it is the heightfield I use that texture to show the map because a plain grey texture is harder for the eyes to read the detail.

I wouldnt mind a red version with that texture.

And even if its the old map, the layout has changed which means ti deserves a new map name, something similair perhaps

I don't know how accurate that water line is, but you could consider making the back part of the islands where the gaps in the mountain are a bit of a beach where amphib or hover style units can get in. Based on that it looks like there's just the main ramp for said units to access, which makes its fairly difficult for sneak attacks.

The sides of those cliffs arent blue, thats the waterline.

Image speaks for itself, I would like a harder to defend island with more ramps to clime up on.
Second is that I would make the wall a plateau that can only be accessed from the opening in the wall. So a invading army can't just walk up but first has to go around.
