first of all, it doesnt snipe single footsoldiers with its main cannons(Yamato cannon?). secondly, your idea about orbital bombarment is the best thing i've ever heard.

Yeah, let's do it. Or how about... taking spaceships out entirely? I mean, why would a huge-ass spaceship snipe a SINGLE foot soldier with it's main cannons? Spaceships are for orbital bombardements.
Also, imagine accessible buildings á la WarWind, only a good deal larger. Now that would be something new (it's been done twice already) and perhaps make the game a little bit more interesting than the very same old boring WC2/SC concept.
Reminds me of Red Alert 1, where 2 soldiers would own a medium tank.
Because the tank was so weak.
What does my post have to do with Red Alert or game balance at all?

You're saying it's stupid why a big-ass ship uses a big cannon to kill a sniper. Well it reminded me to Red Alert. That's it :D

I just hope they move away from the mechanic where the most powerful units in the game were also the cheapest, because they required uber-micro to avoid being useless. Microing ghosts sucked.

What I don't get is, Why do some people seem to want starcraft2 to move away from being a game for korean proffesional "button mashers" just like the original? At the same time having great singleplayer suitable to casual players, again. Don't you think the whole korean progaming thing is cool? Or is it some kind of jelousey/inferiority complex/anger that makes you hate it and want it screwed over? Or you don't care and want just another RTS that is more like TA, CNC age of empires, WC3, or whatever when those games alredy exist? Perhaps it's just simple ignorance of the whole phenomenom and people just putting out random thoughts.
