will the moho exploiter atleast get a shorter buildtime or something then?
because otherwise you might be better off just removing it, it's a fun unit but its already very expensive to ever build one instead of a regular moho, not just in cost and time but also in lost resources for not having built the regular moho, they need to atleast be good.

An idea for the Demolisher: is there any way you could give them a three-way lightning cannon? This would keep with the lightning theme, and help to chew up swarms of units. I have a feeling that it's technically implausible, but I really don't like to see units removed.

I also think that the moho exploiters are fine as they are -- by the time people are building exploiters, you should have access to some long-range artillery. A rocket truck or two can take out that 2,200 metal investment very easily, and aircraft rip them apart as well.

A game I was playing the other day made me kinda wish arm had a cloaked moho extractor

And has anyone read my post about the zeus/maverick issue? Right now zeus'es are just cheaper, weaker versions oft he maverick.

theres some key differences which makes them play differently though, mosly speed, power and a 35HP per second regeneration.
Which makes the zeus a grunt and the maveric a skirmisher.

Yep. The OTA Zeus (shorter ranged, higher damage) would make it more different from the Mav, but the OTA Zeus doesn't work in Spring because units only pay attention to other units in firing range.... which for a point-blank unit makes them retarded.

The only obvious way to make the Zeus more different from the Maverick (which, imho, is completely unecessary because the Zeus is an assault unit and the Mav is skirmish) is to return the Zeus to it's OTA form - shorter range, higher power. But you can't do that in Spring, because super short-ranged units have very poor AI.

the range is already quite small enough, even then, it's fully possible for the player to order them closer...

mav/zeus is FINE ffs
mavs will NOT stand up to defenses. they WILL pwn t1 like the CRAZIES and can skirmish well because you can keep recycling them.
zeus have a lot of HP and a good weapon. best used against defenses as their weapon hasn't even got a mavs range (which isnt huge)

and i couldn't be arsed to check the core one :-)

Also i think this ships are not really needed, they hardly add anything to the game. So remove them :-)

Nooo, they add more variety and are actually quite good, but everybody rushes warlords. =P

Zeus has a meager 600 more health, sure it's 1.48 times that of the mav, but it's lower range and the mav's super autorepair more than even these things out. The Zeus's lightning gun is a joke, it does a pathetic 118 damage/sec compared to the mav's 267, the mav's guns do over 2.25 times the damage of the zeus's.

As it is, as soon as you can afford mavs the zeus is obsolete.


And as for the bombardment ships, I think they should have kept their old missiles...
