I like EE's balance in l1 VS l2: l1 are more cost efficent yes, but L2 is much more concentrated firepower but with low health for cost. that way l1 would remain useful while l2 would be support as it always should have been, not the replacement, of l1.

If you're talking about the Hellspawn V Jazz game, you need to watch more closely. Yes, the late game is very Goliath-centric, but that's because they're powerful units, and both players were using them to keep the pressure on. Hellspawn won because he made very good use of L1 units (IIRC: Bladewings, Instigators, and L1 missile trucks) to support his Gollies.

only pointing out this - with the no-combatrepair-exept-commander/maverick change, the goliaths have lost lots of health
so... any health buff?

I can understand the crater-reductions, but I've got to add my 2c against the impuse reductions - as many many ppl have said, a lot of units rely on it for their effectiveness, without making them overpowered.

Try the latest beta before you say the change is bad. Also, weapons still have impulse (by and large) just it's a lot less than before.
I'll be TRYING to post beta 4, the last beta before final today. Depends on if I can get these anti-air kbots scripted.

what do you think about making lvl 1 factories cheaper ?
so that the start is a bit faster.
i thing golis and lvl 2 arti should need energy to fire.
or maybe all plasma cannons should need energy to fire ?!
would make energy more important and you have to care and manage your e for attacks^^ or defending

I don't think plasma should take energy to fire, that's sort of laser's thing.
I wouldn't be opposed to merls and diplomats using a little bit of metal for every missile, tremors already need energy to fire right?

I don't think tremors do, no.
That would be an interesting niche unit, one that is expensive metal-wise to fire, but is otherwise a superior unit.
