I always just called it a ducky...

but then I went rubber-kayaking, and remained confused for over a year...
(rubber kayaks are known as duckies)

so this is the US version of the Schwimmwagen

pretty good as usual, especially for only an hour of work
Only truck size, rather than jeep size. Spiked will hopefully doing versions for british and soviet forces who both received lots of them via lend lease.

Freya early-warning and control radar. The black will be transparent, otherwise it'd be 5,000 polys.

Looks like the super secret soviet waffle iron they were working on towards the end of the war...

I think it'd be more than 5000 without transparency...

so many models...

At this rate, the s44 team could produce 1 new high quality, full featured mod every 3 months! :P

Very nice. However, it isnt turreted. It will only be able to fire directly forward.

We can still adapt it to CA (as car asked) if you'd be willing, but i suspect you're making it for some other mod?
Use it if you want but it doesn't fit any style.

The weapons are forward firing but have a threshold. Fixed forward aiming worked fine in the past and I don't see why it shouldn't be working now.
The reason I suggested is because it looks like a beefed up jeffy. We really need to drop the "tank" from flashtank because it's completely against our new vehicle setup. This model looked really good for the spot. Except I didn't notice the fixed turrets.

Rust isn't the problem - it's wear and dirt. Gears of War has convinced everybody that rust is realism. Compare your car to the showroom, and the difference isn't rust, it's scratches and dirt and salt.

Rust on a military vehicle (except probably ships) will most probably draw the wrath of command upon its crew. Scratches, dirt, scorch marks, etc. are not that much of a problem (they show that thing sees a lot of action), but rust means the crew doesn't look after their vehicle or equipment good enough and the thing is just idle most of the time.

Eh, realism is not achieved by the model, midknight. Its part shader, part texture, part animation. The model only plays the role of combining all of those.

Also, he may be like me. No point in doing something if you can't go wild every once in a while. His IS a lot more detailed than my stuff, but it is neither in a state to be baked or low enough quality to be used in a game, except for the show_model stuff for the person holding the weapon only.

Not bad, though, not bad at all.
