becaus it makes stuff look round.... but they don't realise that in smooth shading mode it looks round too when you set up the normals properly...

I smoothed that thing for experiment. I did not save that thing, it just looked...weird, in a way that I like to share with people. Hooray, progress. Mind my crazy texture, used GIMP's texture.
Done. I'm satisfied with this 30 minute work.

I'm seeing a lot of poly waste there...
Bandage model (replaces the healthvial for a HL2 mod)

Yeah, you're going to want to convey most of that detail on the ends of that thing through a normalmap. Not that you have to get stressed or remodel it, it's not like there are millions of them in a POV all the time, I wouldn't sweat it.

Use it if you want but it doesn't fit any style.
The weapons are forward firing but have a threshold. Fixed forward aiming worked fine in the past and I don't see why it shouldn't be working now.
