I think it can use alpha (not sure)
Also, did you switch texture 1 and 2? looks like it in the zip file.

No those are the correct textures, texture 2 I tried giving as little green as possible to reduce the reflection -which is why it looks like what texture 1 would if It wasn't set to nearly transparent. It may just be that Upspring exaggerates it a little bit? I don't know as this is the first proper model I've done using it.
Also, what is it you use to convert the textures to dds? Are there any advantages to doing this other than that you don't have to set the texture1 to near transparent for non team colour areas?

well, you didn't choosed the easiest shape
It needs something more "aerodynamic". I'll tweak the cokpit and the wings first to get something looking nicer, then I'll add little details.

I find that Upspring really exaggerates the reflectivity, it's rather more toned down ingame.

Not bad:)
Only thing for now is that if it's for an rts, the barrels really have too much poly's, a number like 8-12 (with this I mean the cylinders should have about 8-12 faces excluding the top and bottom face) would be much better, and also, you shouldn't model the inside of the barrels, not needed and takes alot of poly's.

I like to model them. It can be faked with a texture but you can model them when the barrel is enough big. Also it doesn't take that much polys if the barrel is 6 or 8 sided, just make sure to merge all the vertice inside the barrel.
The difference of a 6 sided cylinder with and without the barrel modeled is 14 tris and about 20 for a 8 sided so I guess it's ok

I like all of those except the gatling tank. That giant flat area on its sides is just begging for a high-velocity round.

The towers on those ships look a little too tall for a hull of that width, so you may want to shorten them. Otherwise, nice job

I wanted to stay on the "TA" feel, with disproportionned guns.
@ Decimator : Hehe, the shape is mainly taked from the penetrator ^^
Also I toyed with the idea of making a kind of trailer for spring. Something with 3D cinematics (like old TA intro) and ingame video.
