really? for me, i've always found a strong connection between political ideals and good music...

a form of music is created by "hardcores" who are generally the downtrodden and overlooked of society... then the music industry latches on to the quality and manufactures their own bands, which then proceed to dilute and pollute the music to the point where it is acceptable by parents, educators, and society as a whole...

sex pistols + 30 years = blink 182
run DMC + 30 years = lil john
Black Sabbath + 30 years = nickelback

but maybe im not begrudging the same thing; certainly politics isn't prevalent in all "new" music (black sabbath is a good example, the songs weren't politically charged, it was more the standing and class of the musicians that took part to give it its raw edge... so politically affected, rather than motivated)

if GRTS was played by a billion people for 30 years, and then afterwards somebody decided to either remake it or make a game based on it, would it be as good? i say no.

I don't know why this album got so many crappy reviews (from BBC no less!)...I think it's their best work yet.

I whorship Joe Hisaishi, Laputa, One Summers Morning, everything he touches is like warm sweet rain, ambrosia spilled from a gods chalice down to us mortals. Or Madness, Summer, Spring... you can spend days just listening his stuff, without every tiresomness sneaking upon your ears.

I've heard American Idiot on KROQ, a radio station in Los Angeles, California, plenty of times. So that isn't true, sorry :P
