I don't think a shiva's weapon is anything liek as powerful as the Taars though. Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone have the numbers handy?

I do. At the moment, Vehicle starts seem to lose 75% of the time, becuase:
Con vehs are slower to build, and you get less of them for the same price as kbots
You get more kbots (Which are just as powerfull, but cheaper and have less armour) for the same price (2 peewees has the same metal cost as one Flash, Yet have the same armour and double the firepower)
And most vehicles turn fucking slowly.

Oh, Really? The anaconda does the same dps as the stumpy, but has 400 less hp and costs twice as much.

Arty hovers outrange most l1 defences with the cost of a l1 unit. The only thing they don't outrange are guardians, which cost 1500 metal.

Correct. It has the goliath weapon and the Diplomat missle. Which makes it usefull at close and long ranges.

Not in the hands of a skilled player. Balancing the game around the inabilities of unskilled players will severely unbalance things for high-level play. (Though vehicle starts for Arm will, as the Flash sucks now and is getting buffed a little next version. Vehicle starts for Core are perfectly viable.)

Except 1) those Peewees are worse at pretty much everything than the Flash, as you lose half that firepower when one dies and 2) KBots in general are not "just as powerful" as vehicles. Vehicles, for example, have artillery, which KBots can't match.
And most vehicles turn fucking slowly.

most Vehicles are faster and stronger then the k-bot counterpart. in trade of less climing capabilities. On most maps they don't even need it.
I see vehicles win most of the time.

yes but guys it would be nice if you stated your opinion on the change (-100 metal for v plant cost) as well as sayings drones wrong

Not if the plant's dropped to L1 costs, the rocket hover's upgraded a bit, and the costs of the others are dropped a bit.

Also, the removal of the Krogtarr is to differ the variations a bit. now Core don't have the small one, arm don't have the omfg huge one. Cadyr might nerf down the Kragneth a little just like he's doing the oppsite with the banta.

Filling taar's role is shiva (a superior cost for dps/hp unit which is also amphibious and reasonably fast) or karganeth, which is a great all-round unit featuring staggering anti-air capabilities.

Yes hovers are suck. I should've made this clear earlier, but my todo list actually says:
"rebalance sea, seaplane, hover for cost/effectiveness vs comparable units" not just "rebalance sea"... sorry if anyone got a wrong impression there. Sea, in my mind, implied hover changes since that's where their main advantage comes in.

I don't know if anyone's noticed, but I've been revamping AA with spring in mind, heavily focusing on one unit type at a time, getting the balance "just right". This is why 9/10 of you are urging me not to touch ground balance - it's at that stage now so I'm moving on to the next problem area. Now it's water's turn.

Dude, you have no clue how to play with vehs. Wathc rAndy, myself, or Nixa use Instigators on Comet sometime. In fact, watch anyone with a good clan tag use instis on *any* map.

NONE of you have tried the new version. NONE of you have any right to say it will ruin AA. You can start whining with the next version release, but believe me, Cadyr IS gonna do these changes, and he will only respond to constructive criticism, like Pxtl wrote for example. What he doesnt need is a bunch of nobodies repeating "YOUR DOING IT WRONG, DO THIS INSTEAD" like a cd player stuck on repeat. Hey, here's an idea, instead of trying to convince him that's he's an idiot, why don't you try to compromise? Tell him to do this instead, such as raise some other unit to fit the unit direction of the Taar.
