Great Texturing!!! Looks professional

and it's only 512x512?
Can you point me to some good tutorials/guide/tips etc to get better @ texturing? I can model & UVWmap but when I try to texturing something it always looks very bad...

I found a powerful program that create procedural textures from scratch, it is easy to use & can create very realistic looking, semaless, textures with normal, bump, reflection, specular ecc.. maps, all the textures can ber rendered to high resolutions since they are all created on real time. This is very useful to Create basic textures, tbh this is better for mappers than for units textuers.. Its Genetica :

Try it out, you will like it.

Ivory King; yes we have a forum right here:
http://www.tauniverse.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=146
We have a private forum where a lot of discussion goes on, but we need to restrict that to devs for the moment.
However, if you have any balance issues to raise, feel free to raise them in the forum linked too above.

Considering the last released version is more than a year old by now, I think very little of it remains intact in current development version, so it's kind of hard to know about any balance issues with it :). Of course, if you release some kind of beta-test version, things will be different...

That is true; we are building it very much from the ground up again.
While I might grab a few people to beta test once we move closer to release, it's unlikely that we will release a general beta release, and more likely just patch any issues that get through our thorough testing after the next major release.
And yeah, it is a bit depressing that the last release is a year old, isn't it?
