Is there a fully automated matchmaking system?or do the majority of games still use a room where host has powers...
anyway i might not have played it recently but everyone says the community and attitude is horrid.

You promote HoN in a LoL thread.
You constantly portray things in LoL as negative and inferior.
You constantly portray things in HoN as positive and superior.
You try to discredit those that point out your lack of knowledge about LoL.
(accusing me of having a grudge against you, I don't know or care about you, our interactions are non-existent aside from this topic)
You lied about your LoL elo to make your arguments seem more legitimate.
You use abstract examples and derive illogical conclusions.
(HoN player 4 weeks to top LoL player argument)
You use fail to realize that you are biased when it comes to certain design decision because of your several years of DotA experience. Familiarity clouds your view.
(farming/denying)
Your mind is closed on this matter.
That is what I call a fanboy and an adamant hater.
Your behavior isn't even special, there are many people like you. Look at the forums of some "minecraft clones". People coming in with same mindset as yours. Only difference is that they are most likely underage and as such have at least a partial excuse for it.

Are there some really good players among us? Like 1800 or something? Whats the highest you've ever been? Also tell whether its US or EU Elo.

lol having nothing against me is the biggest crock of shit ever.
you leap into threads just to argue with me.
And I am sure I have more knowledge about LoL than most if not all the people in this thread.
I play LoL if I thought it was utter shit why would I waste my time ?
Gota you can still host games etc in HoN but the main way of playing is now an automated matchmaking system which ranks you with players of a similar skill level. You can flag which regions and game modes you want to play also.

Also LoL patches are 160+ mbs a pop just for adding one hero its a joke.
a hero patch should be max 30mb and I hope they get rid of the crappy adobe air interface.

I've started playing in Feb. 2010 and you could control them even back then.

Humor me and quote me arguing with you in the last 2 years.
That's right,
2009 was the last time I responded to you even remotely negatively outside of this thread. Stop spreading lies and
being aggressive please. I won't respond to your personal issues after this. It is derailing this thread. Just stop.

I like debating issues that I'm interested in. Like LoL.

Its funny cos all of your "factual" comments about LoL have been ripped to shreds by the people who actually know the game. You telling lies about your ELO (I checked) just makes this funnier/more pathetic.

Yeah ok ladies pipe down, lets ignore the trolls and talk about LoL.
So i brought Anivia today, and though i cant get my 24/0/16 scores like i do with fiddle, she is very fun to play (which is important to enjoying LoL)
Does anyone have any tips for using her? My current buy list goes Mana Stone + 2 health pots > tear of the goddess > boots > shene > sorcerers shoes/mercurys treads..
Is this ok or could it be improved?

why the hell would you pick up sheen? O_o don't use sheen on a mage, unless you're lux or veigar and you have like 800AP and building lichbane.

Mana regen gylphs's mana regen mastery.
Go mid dominate lane with icicle and blast and outfarm the other mid with ease. When u hit 6 use ulti to rape every wave and tp back whilst your creeps push rinse/repeat gg you are now a mega farmed anivia.
go typical mana route.
Blue crystal + 2 health pots to start.
Then get tear / catalyst, go archangels and banshees veil. Rape face.
Easy mode hero.

what you mean nope ??
explain to me how a model with a pretty low res texture + some spell effects and 3-4 skins takes more than 30-50 mbs ??

nope
>30megs? sure why not
sounds, art, animations, interface graphics, spell graphics definition.. a hero could be sizable in when added.. Sounds are a big part of it I would suspect.
also there could be various other things they are fixing, updating etc.

most of the stuff they fix are number edits which won't be more than a few kb's
comparing the update sizes to BLC and HoN when they release new heroes which are around 30-40 mbs this also includes new maps and sounds etc.
I don't understand how nearly every patch is 100mb+ when theres still no new map spec/rep support etc.

Yea, huge patches are teh phail but they don't bother me too much with my connection. riot said they would adress the issue. apparently they have some huge files that contain all champion data so when you add a champion you gotta overwrite the whole file. bad design, supposed to get fixed soonÔäó

i think it sounds decent; normally though i stack AP early on anivia; generally my first item for her is dorans ring; i dont worry about the mana stone too much early because i use clarity; generally i chase ROA as my first big item but if i've already had a kill before i can afford catalyst protector i'll grab an early mejai instead
my most successful game with anivia was an assist one; luring individuals from the other team into the jungle, cutting them off with the ice wall and then letting my DPS allies eat them
also i guess it depends what runes you're using (as far as picking a first item goes)

Aniva doesn't need AP to own she just needs to be able to spam spells and be able to use ulti AP is kinda secondary. Joint AP/Mana items + survivability is key.
