Your approach to supcom isnt the one they intended thats all.
Go play Gundam the same way you play BA or XTA and then complain about issues that arise because you played it that way.

Hmm yes.. I see what you're saying, if I play supcom a certain way, the "own" all units that have crazy doom beam guns, crazy aa, are amphibious and have torepdoes will be completely diff... hang on, won't they all still be the same?

there is no other way to use them.. they pwn all, you cant kill them witha reasonable number of smaller units.. and even a decent amount of defences is no guarrentee only another teir 4 unit can stop them.. this isnt a use problem, this is a cold hard balance fact.. some people like this kind of gameplay, I do not however, as supcom seems like it was balanced to play on speedmetal, with giant uber units and aircraft reigning supreme, and everythign else in there just to amuse you till you can build the uber stuff..

Dunno, when I played the beta the exps were rather ineffective and spamming siegebots (the only T3 combat unit) for the money instead was much more effective.

Fang is right, it just a porc fest with gameplay turning into a speedmetal type match with everyone building urber defenses and units. The thing is, by the time you get any of your level 1 units to your opponents base they will already have level 1 and level 2 defenses which are extremely overpowered. This arms race continues to escalate and becomes a race to see who can output the most super super units.

If it's just like speedmetal shouldn't it logically be a boon to the Spring userbase by absorbing all the SMers?

a porcer can t win in supcom... or if he wins his opponent did something wrong
and just because the gameplay differs from ta it s still a good game.
some people just can t go around that it s not ta with better graphics.
you got impressions that are not true.

The porcer wins when his opponent disconnects because the match got too long and boring.

In other words, it's psychological warefare.

economy in sup com is too much of a slippery slide tbh, metal makers being insanely effective it all becomes speedmetal

Seriously, last 5 games I played were just porcfests. Nothing can break through defences, and every artillery units is outranged by the T2 Emplaced artillery. Air doesn't work becuase Ground based AA eats everything, and Experimentals take so long to build that the game is long and shit.
