I don't think tier3 is too bad. The only tier3 unit I ever find myself macking is the Shiva, because it is clearly the best amphibious unit in the game. Essential late-game on Evad River type maps.
I think the rolls should be re-evaluated for some of the tier3 units, but I think they can serve a purpose. I would in general like to see them rebalanced so that each unit is more of an investment (more costly to make) but pack a bit more punch. In that regard, I like the OTA approach, but I think it needs the diversity of AA (with some refinement).
As it is, late game tier3 units just become the decfacto unit rather than a terrifying unit that supports a larger tier2 force (as in OTA). So I guess I'd like an OTA approach but with more options/choices in the units you can build.

Made Krogoth Able to Crush units with his feet, except heavy units/buildings
Gave Krogoth more HP
Reduced E Costs of All T3 units by 40 %

Hmm, nowadays T3 is considered by most as a newb thing to build - teching to gantry on a normal map you'd normally be seen as a speedmetal hero with no idea of how to play, but this is because of crazily high energy costs, crazily high costs on building a gantry to begin with, and high costs for each unit in the gantry, which effectively stop it from being a cost effective investment - teching to gantry with limited metal will likely get you owned, or at very least you'll mega stall economy.
There used to be days where T3 was a viable thing in normal games, even with say, +50/+60 metal (not much by any standards) - If you've seen Tired play before, he often teched to gantry with good effect, hell, he even has done it recently and not done too badly with it, despite the relative non-viability of T3 anytime when metal restricted.
To get to my point, IMO T3 should be a natural progression from T2 with a smaller "jump" in unit lab cost/unit costs/unit stats from what it is just now. Currently T3 units are widely considered late game super units (because they pretty much are) but I think they should be viable more mid-game than very late. Of course, its possible to pump out a krog by 25-30 mins even on a map like altored divide by porcing economy like a maniac, and I dont want to see krogs as a main unit in the game, they SHOULD be kept as massively expensive superunits. Personally if it was my choice I would consider making a T4 lab specifically for Krog's/Juggernaughts and similar mega units, and making T3 a more natural progression from T2 in games - not as huge a jump in costs. Kargs and Razorbacks are a good example of what I think T3 units should be like, and with the reduced E costs in BA 4.33 it will be interesting to see if they are actually viable.
In short, it would be nice if people use a T3 lab to make strong units to mix with T2, but as it stands the gantry is more or less exclusively only made by noobs who dont know what they're doing or by players with insane economies to exclusively spam T3 units in a game ending push.

I see. And i ain't really going to vote since i am so divided... I really can't make up my mind. I like all of oTA, XTA and AA buildtrees (with minor discontempts).
Having lvl3 like in oTA/XTA makes it a unique thing. Having it like AA, makes it like a natural progression from lvl2. Ok, i am a undecided person, bah.
Anyway, just as a note, if you remove L3 from AA for ButchuredAA, SpeedMetal geeks will murder you all.
