??? Yes they are. Unless you are comparing to the godly professional jobs they show and White Dwarf Magazine...

I have one of the old boxes of Warhammer (lots of Lizardmen, skinks + those tougher lizards, and a bunch of Bretonia, Bowmens and some 12 Bretonian knights), one newer box of warhammer (lots of Empire soldiers and many uber-sized orcs), one box of Battlefleet Gothic, the manual for Warhammer 40K, and no one to play them with.

Mmmm...comic books. Why aren't there Warhammer 40K comic books? Those would be awsome!
There are. The Black Library has many a 'graphic novel' made...

Also, spiked, do the bases. It looks alot more professional. Black bases give an unfinished feel to the whole model.

Space Hulk was like me shooting my own marines or not reacting fast enough so they die to the aliens... :(

And yeah it ran pretty slow in dosbox (thanks to my CPU) but I think it was runnable in the win2k shell as well (with vdmsound and some extensions).

I used to have a big imperial gaurd army and a pretty decent sized eldar army too, I never played the game, it bored the crap outta me tbh but I loved painting the models, it amazing what you can do with some inks and a bit of dry brushing ^^
this thread is kinda making me wanna get the paints out again, ffs guys! I just got my life back due to my inability to connect to tasclient! :P

YOU'LL NEVER ESCAPE STEVE!

My two brothers used to collect warhammer stuff, 40k and the other one, still got boxes full of the things hidden away in various places, eldar and chaos something they collected i think..

The only time ive played a non PC warhammer game was warhammer quest, loved that ^^

I used to play WH40k as Space Wolves and then a custom Space Marine chapter. I started back when the 2nd edition boxed set was out. The change in art direction with 3rd was great, but I never really got a chance to play too much. Not enough time these days with school and all..
I'll try to find some pics of my miniatures.

Yeah I've been told I need to finish the bases. I leave them like that because I can't decide what I want to do with them, but I've already decided to just go standard earthy dirt stone crap.

And yes I do always compare my work with the godly professional jobs.. which is really a downer, and always makes me depressed and uninspired to do more, but meh...

I'm thinking of building these Worldeaters up to 2000pts and then starting another army but I have NO IDEA IN HELL what.. I'm thinking maybe some sort of Imperial Guard... I like the Tallarn Raiders, mainly for their guerilla tactics ( <_< ) but IIRC they're all metal models (which is mucho expensive and not friendly to modification) and I don't really like the "Lawrence of Arabia" head-scarf look. And no, I don't like Catachan or Tanith's Ghosts. I may just try to modify Cadians to turn them into guerilla fighters or some such.

Search out Squats, and field them as Space Marines. Hilarious, and cool.

Seriously, I can't recommend any to you. When I am very wealthy, I will finish my Harelquins. Until then...

Just buy a fine detail brush and start painting on higlights, it'll do wonders (and take forever at first).

I wish I had some pics of my army to put up. Oh well in a couple of weeks.

between 1K and 2K worth of spacemarines. 3 squads of 8 Marines, one squad with a badly converted heavy bolter, and a squad of terminators. one with um... Hellfire? Missles. Oh yes. And a chaplin. Don't play anymore. I suddenly realised, What the hell? I could do this and actually have a game which doesn't take 2 hours to play by playing an RTS game on PC.

That and I can't paint for crap.

My wrist issues make it nearly impossible to paint at this time, so I'll show some when I have more painted.

don't know how many points I have, but I have about 200$ of necrons, and I suck at painting, so I've left them unpainted for now

CHAOS!!!! ewwwwwwwwwwww...

I reign in High Elf Territory, ALL HAIL TESCLIS! THE HIGH ELF GRAND WIZARD!

he is the UBAR of Fantasy Warhammer, nobody can compete with him

Him and Tyrion, he can damn near knock down the GREATER DEAMON of KHORNE! in one hit...

other than that, the high elves are pretty worthless... but hey! they have SOME good.. :P

I'll try to remember to get some pics of my army over Christmas, its at my parents house, and its about 4500 pts... :P
no, its not all painted.. only about 1/3 of it..
