That GUI design is possible under the lua setup trepan provided. I'd attempt it myself if it wasnt lua.

I copied that deign in Illustrator to see if i could replicate it as vector art. It was a project to work on graidients. I tried to make it look metalic/chrome.

Well, there arn't enough artists around so whatever you do will be good! Hope you can get some sort of better looking GUI going.

Hey I was just wondering if you still needed an artist to do the UI. Is the project still in dev?

noone has done it to date. I would love to see your version of the ui based on that screenshot.

Your art is excellent, but it needs to be implemented in LUA for it to be a proper interface.
You have the art half done, ask around for Lua help. I can't though, I haven't touched Lua in my life, although I WOULD like to learn it.
Maybe you could ask for permission from the makers of IceUI(IceXuick or Meltrax I think) for permission to hack their lua code for the UI mod, or maybe you could ask Trepan, because he implemented Lua into the engine.

The UI is not in dev currently, my understanding of it is that we have a functional interface but anyone who wants to implement more features in it or make a good-looking interface is more than welcome too.

I can only see the OTA screen shot, the 2 images after it are not showing. I can see the linked images though, and I have to say that lua cannot do this.
1: You cant change the start-up menu interface for spring because spring doesn't have a single player interface menu system to change.
2: The loading screen is just an image, there are no progress bars or lua scripts or anything moddable, the only thing that can be changed is the background image.
So all the images that can be seen are not possible in spring unless there's an in game GUI inside one fo those 2 pictures I can't see.

I think they were talking about the pic posted one page back, AF, not the TA shots TRO posted. The interface posted on the previous page is very, very nice looking, i say go for it!

+1 to this. A good looking, clean and slightly stylish UI is something Spring has needed for a LONG LONG time, and would greatly add to the overall graphical experience players get.
Even simple things like the new build menu in CA really adds to the overall quality of the visuals, and stops Spring looking outdated/barely developed. A decent UI should have been implemented years ago tbh.
Nice mock up btw, I like the simplicity and how all information is easily taken in by the eyes.
