I think a Frag Grenade could you maybe 250 polys, but 1500 is a bit excessive, no?

Nice work, just the kind of stuff I wanted people to show off here :-)

Well for 1 its round, and I modeled the fuze and insides of the grenade for when the spoon is released, I went a long way for details.

Here is another Prop,my Humvee not particularly detailed but with Lod's.

Hey, global illumination is unfair!

Hm, I could post some normalmap base models...
Girl with sword (ears are undetailled because I add that part of the normalmap with an image editing program instead)

I also quite like this one (10664 tris) but I'm not sure if I want to put it into the public domain...

Hm, my failed attempt at the Domination War could be used, though. It was supposed to have a psionic strapped to the forward wheel but I think it'd work fine as a unit even without that. 3656 tris.

Daym KDR, that 10664 tris model of that chick is awsome!

bamb: 6 or 7 years I think. Way too long for my current skill level, there are highly regarded industry professionals that have started much later than me while I'm still at below mediocrity level. I can do decently looking meshes but my textures are really weak.

Yet another tank...
Image
Polycount (tris) is at 5300+ and it's WIP.

Looks like some light WW2 tank, though it reminds me of one of the Tigers. Not what I wanted actually... anyone telling me those treads are 1999 can have a try at making them better in wings without path tools. Was probably useless anyway, doing them in blender might have had a better outcome while consuming less time. If only blender wasn't so complicated. :P

Import it straight in and see what happens before you make a low poly version.

Give it to Daywalker to replace the Bantha in Arm.

See, this is a perfect example of a model that's high poly for the sake of high poly. The number of polies justified by the model's level of detail is MUCH lower than the number of polies you have.

Essentially what I'm trying to say is that you've wasted somewhere in the neighborhood of 3000 polies with no significant addition to the model's visual appeal.

That, and it's gonna be a bitch to animate.

thk all.
I think it will be difficult to import this model directly. there are many details and a lot of texture on this peewee.
I've made it for an animation.

Well, as far as the actual practicality of the tank... I wouldn't want to be in one... those tracks would get blown off faster than you could say "kawabunga!!!".
