I get away with it so long as I am doing it in small chunks in between doing other stuff

Anyhow, we're just filling this thread with spam... I'll put out my model when it's done, probably tonight. I am aiming for under 500 tris, so if you're under 300, then you have me beat on polycount- the point I'm trying to make, though, is that it's not about how many tris the model has... it's about how they're getting used. The skin and the amount of skill put into a model matter much more than any other factors.

Technically I could make a 6 sided 12 polygon cuboid and call it Borg light recon hovercraft. I'd beat everyone in polycount then. Let's continue this in the model thread...

You underestimate the detail of a borg vessel, borg vessels are immensly detailed, and a proper representation would run into thousands of polygons. Remember, borg ships dont have main bulkheads or primary hulls, only the larger tactical cubes and diamond have any sort of major hull in which case its heavy armour plating.

Wooh!

the coolest looking mod on the coolest looking map. Does the map play well with nanoblobs?

Yes. The TeamSpheres really help you know where your forces are operating, and my custom icons (yeah, I'm getting them done) are also very helpful
