How can you live with limited bandwidth usage?

Every month I download at least a terrabyte of stuff (most of them will get deleted anyway). In the US I have 2Mbit with unlimited for ~30 Euro. Japan gets like 30 Mbits trunks for ~20 Euro

I'm in the UK. I get 1.2Mbit up, 8mbit down. No monthly limit, static IP. £28 a month. If I move closer to the exchange I can get upto 24mbit down no extra cost.

egads, if you can get 8Mbit all the way out there for a reasonable price i should be able to get something good here! but then i suppose there's only 1 telephone exchange and you're all close to it

Blueyonder, 2Mbit, about £15 a month I think. No bandwidth caps.

They just merged with NTL who do something completely different, so expect it to change.

I don't drink, and I actually have seen snow at least...once in my entire life. I would like a chance to get heartily sick of it.
