Aye. Like amphibious complexes and half a dozen other things you only find in AA.

Oh come on. I'd say it is at best a mutual influence. And not to forget, it's mr. R who came up with the general design first after all.

Lol. Actually, if you say his actual name in that manner, he would be Mr. T :o

He does not, however, own the rights to it.

Many missile towers look like that in many games.

I suppose that's true. I've just been feeling kind of weird since I read that first PC Gamer article where Chris mentioned 4 or 5 things, at least, that have never been done in any RTS I've ever played (that's a lot of RTS)...... except for AA, where they were present for a year or more.

I onece felt bitter that so many ideas I had were implimented in games that were comeing out and could only sustain my sanity by the knowledge that hey, at least I got to play with my ideas. I can see how much more frustrating it must be, not just for you but for the spring devs, to see their ideas, that they've implimented and given away for free, being touted as new and unique to some game that is being made by a developer you respected. I just wish some days that Chris would give us a little bump and say, "Yeah we learned a whole lot about what people acctually want from an RTS from a little open source game called spring, and especially a mod for it called Absolute Annihilation." but the truth is they probably arn't stealing it directly from us, it's just stuff that they have absorbed from the RTS community at large.

Yep, I see nanotowers, a Mercury... a lot of that looked pretty familiar.
