Oh and I forgot about the partical effect's via sprites. Good points there. remove the sprite based graphics from my "non-want' list.
TA has the same thing, there just are very few players who are at that level yet. There's ALWAYS an optimum build and optimum counter builds, and whenever you have 2 players duking it out who can hit the optimum it basicly comes down to who does it faster. It's always down to who can be controlling more properly faster.

I've never really noticed that, but I suppose if you break it down to a completely heartless stats and such, then yes it is about who clicks the fastest. But I usually find that people can use less then optimal units in very surprising ways. Atlas with crawling bomb on board, anyone? Can you do that in starcraft?

I have to give props to TA, it's much harder to data crunch to perfection, the reason it got so bad in star craft so fast was because of the relative simplicity of the game. TA can be VERY complicated and elaborate. An atlas with a crawling bomb is just one example of a left field complexity that most players can use that may or may not be expected. However in an optimum game your opponent will have enough AA to deal with that threat.

True true. But I'm not the best player there is, so it doesn't degenerate down to that :)
I like how two noobs fighting is dull, and two genius fighting can also be dull, but two mediocre players fighting can actually be the most exiting. Or am I just crazy?

Starcraft won't let you select more than 12 units at the same time. Starcraft has very limited queueing. That's what sucks about Starcraft.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that: I wish that Spring will never have a limitation on how many units one can select.

No, no, I agree with you, in terms of 1v1 games.
What is really fun is having say five teams of two, each with a poor player and a great player, or two average players.

Yall should note that if someone makes a fastestclickerwins mod, we might attract many koreans to the spring project.

I want OPTIONS...
what I do not want
behaviors we cannot controll... ie units slowing down to keep formation(discussed a while back)
Being forever limited to 2 resources
any more mods based on TA.

Interesting .... Maybe you should make another post in the feature Request ?

Mainly it's to clean up the development forum a bit. Development should be mainly about implementation, actual coding issues and not just ideas

I could swear I said that this could die, maybe it won't for a while...
I as a modder(only a thinker for now

) doesn't want something that I can't control, if its forced, I hope it doesn't suck
Damn units, don't need to keep formation...

That's why we don't want us to resemble them.
