perhaps ranges should be decreased as well? the maps do not seem to be much larger because artillary has such a long range... maybe a 2/3 size?

and get your FNU stuff out of public releases! :P

also, GD looks wierd with a huge factory producing small units... perhaps you should scale it down a small amount, but not completely 1/3... maybe even leave the footprint, if its big for balance reasons (just with the squished top... its not too bad... desquish the top mebbe?)

umm i personally think epic is more realistic, when have you seen artillery shooting within eye sight of other units?

in Epic the ranges feel more "real"

the factories seem more "real" because large factories produce weapons of war in the real world.

i dont know thats my personal opinion.

Can someone delete the http://www.fileuniverse.com/?p=showitem&ID=3601 file of Epic E&E 1.62? That version is broken, and it's the one in the mods folder of FU :|

[edit] my mistake, that points to Epic 1.6. It's still confusing to have multiple versions of E&E floating around though[/edit]

the eventual plan is to make epic a mutator of E&E like AA has its own.
Fang is (i think) waiting for the new release of Spring and for E&E players to really put .162 through its paces. So if u got suggestions on Epic post em here and if they're on Standard post em in its thread.

Sweet I've gotta give this a try. I'd promised myself I wouldn't try any other mods until I'd got the hang of AA, but with Epic, what you've got is a nice "killer app" to make me try EE :lol:

An epic AA mod would be really cool. Otherwise, the scale in this mod feels much more realistic. Adds a special feeling.

aaanyways... I don't see any major issues with epic right now, and I have definatly not played enough game to see anything minor. All I can say is I love it =)

My one problem is more of a player issure. That is no one seems to be PLAYING the mod. I think, Fang, if you wan't to be sneaky, you should realize the next version of EE as Epic, but without the name tag and see if anyone notice's the units suddenly got smaller. It would be funny, methinks.

Just a note to all those reading this thread. You need both Standard E&E and the Epic file. the Epic file depends on the standard one for most of the content.

This is kinda sad because before the radar and los bug is fixed the continuing development is sortof hard. but not hard, it just can again change lots of things with ranges and similar when we have working los and radar range.

I would hope some dev looked int that problem and could tell whats going on, but no-one has even commented about it in the radar and los thread.

So let's see where it goes, next week i am on vacation so nothing will happen there, hopefully we have some answer by then concerning radar/los thingy.

for sme sort of reason there's a limit on max los/radar range a unit can possess, around 1024

Of course a maximum size isn't really a problem for a mod that makes everything smaller...

there might be a limit, but 1024 is not it. for LoS, at least.

that weapon's range is 1024, los is 1234 or so.

LOS limit is 1280, we already know that.
