Wrong. It give you metalheck, CPIA (ugh, just when I think I deleted it from my map list), nanoblobs 40b (outdated, and I'll download it on my own next time, thank you), 7za.exe, manifest.txt, ai.tdf, the /AI folder, SpringSP, and it makes a desktop and start menu shortcut for SpringSP!!!

*points at the vanilla install that includes source and lets you install what you want, (such as NTai.dll and the IA folder as the bare necessity for it to work)*

Now go find me a better install maker than clickteams install maker, something I can set options for what is to be installed. Spring SP is included with the installer because it's useful for new people, if you had a problem with the maps I didnt hear it when I asked multiple times in the lobby, in the Ntai thread, and several other threads....

@ vanilla: fair enough. The vanilla install is much neater than the full install.
you probably still ought to say what you pack with the 'full' NTAI package.

isn't it easier just to send it out as a .rar archive or a .zip...at least we know what will go where and what's in there :idea:

Since when are we preferring rar over instal files? (when it is to be installed in more then 1 directory)

I wasn't aware people preferred .rar files. Anyways, you can still extract files that go to a variety of folders if the archive (.zip or .7z) was put together correctly by its creator.
But whatever, to each his own.

Hey, I love the SpringSP deal, comes in handy.

spring sp is great, so is the installer.

I wish all the ai's came with an installer.

wel yeah obviously there has the be a filestructure inside the archive or they'd never reach the correct locations

It's called NTai Vanilla, and it's been going since XE7

PS :: ExSAI.dll wont work unless there's an SAI.dll to go with it, all it does is load SAI.dll in turn but adding in error catching using exception handling.

ah, good to know.

I chose my AI based off of how easy it is to install and use. NTAI came with its own installer and seemed to work with a large number of things. Also it was easy enough to grab it, so I got it. Worked nice too!

Hi AF, if you want to try a different install maker, maybe you could try either:

NSIS (open-source/free software)
with HM NIS EDIT as an editor

or

Inno Setup (Source is available, license looks like a home-grown free software license)
with ISTool as an editor

Neither have been recompiled for 0.72b1

SAI and OTAI have bugs in them too, SAI isnt under active dev anymore, and nobody knows whats going on with OTA anymore.

Besides SAI onyl works with OTA based mods and doesnt use AA specific units.

OTAI wont work with XTA v6 or above and AA 1.42+
