This is not an earth 21xx mod. Th concept is VERY LOOSELY based on 2150

I've seen lots of screens from that earth 2160 game and EE does not resemble it very much at all, except for the fact that theres tanks and mechs; and that can be said about almost every futuristic war game ever made.

there is no way anyone associated with earth 2150/2160 can touch me... I use no actual content from any of their games, no textures, no sounds, no models, nothing....

Second the unit models are not even based off the models in earth 2150/2160 they are taken for the most part from bits and pieces of other spring mods and cobbled together thus again they cant claim I stole their intellectual property because I made a bipedal mech.

It is conceptually based on earth 2150 in terms of side strat and balance and possibly unit composition but I have stuff in my mod that was not in earth 2150 and there are things in that game which dont exist in mine, it is not a port it is a mod inspired by earth 2160 and earth 2150..

I have earth 2150 and earth 2160 and have played both and although some of the units look similiar they do not look exactly the same, the units could be said to look similiar to units from warhammer, battletech... or any game with either mechs or tanks...

yes but this isn't so much about looks as it is about engaging strategy, endless destruction and a certain theme/idea.

yes, I am saying that. Considering I have played the mod (a lot) and you havn't I do believe I'm correct.

The concept is very loosely based on earth 2150. Do you honestly think that earth 2150 was the fisr of it's kind to come up with that kind of play?

Earth 2150 had a hell of a lot of flaws (imo, many ppl might disagree with me). Like is said, the concept is very loosely based on 2150, but the gameplay imo is extremely different.

As soon as spring stops being dumb and allows me to connect, I will post some more pr0n ;p

anyway yeah i know the gameplay will be different, for a start no research (:() and all sorts of graphical advantages as well as introduction of spring engine physics. will be interesting to see where this mod goes :)

This mod looks really nice...Nice to see some variety among the units (esp. the laser thickness on those mechs)...out of curiosity, is any unit going to use a weapon with a negative impulsefactor? It'd be cool to be able to prevent retreat by pulling the enemy in as attacking :-)

Negative impulsefactor pulls the target towards the center of weapon's explosion, not towards the unit that fired the weapon. Basically that means "tractor beam" style things aren't possible, but weapons that keep the target in place and NOT paralyzed (so it can still fire) are possible.
