Damit sinbad, your bloody OS sucks... No multiple desktops, no mouse over focus... no maximizing by ~width~ for console... no console apps... no decent console... basically your cmd.com app sucks the bag have cywgnix or whatever that linux on winblows is called?

All robed mentioned about windows has my heart.
But Windows DOES have multiple desktops. The program able to preform that is written by the devs of microsoft in their spare time.
And it actually works better then Mac OS X, since there are no small windows leaving behind when you have one program running on 2+ desktops.

And there are console apps. But all of them are just ported to windows from other OS (mostly Linux)
And the cmd app at least have a working tab completion, unlike sambaclient (which is ofcourse not your console, but it is frustrating)

I was using the MS multi desktop powertoy, but it didn't change desktops with the press of alt-F<desktop-num> or alt-<desktopNum>, and I'm used to 10 desktops ;p as for the console app, sinbad has MSYS or something like that, but it doesn't run .bat files or python/perl scripts properly. Anyways, sinbad, sup? you at work?

Edit: Ohh and you can't draw windows to the next desktop, move windows to a desktop, etc... etc...

Basically, sinbad needs to get WindowMaker as a window manager, and bash as a command line, then I'll be happy, already convinced him to install nix on his computer though, so we win!!! GNU GPL COOKIES FOR ALL!!! :D
