A break?! They waited 6 days ebfore tilling anybody there details were stolen.
Sony are incompetent and it stems from the top.
Don't compare Sony and Apple, Your a fool if you think Apple is capable of being as negligent as Sony.

Hey, I remember when photos saved through a third party program under iOS were easily accessible for weeks. I remember the antennae problems with the new iPhone design which should have been caught in very early testing phases. I remember just last year when the first lawsuit over the knowing negligence of Apple & AT&T in regards to selling a phone which regularly and frequently drops connection during normal use in high coverage zones hit the courts.
I feel like Sony's entry into the video game market dealt a great blow to console gaming, but I would be the first to admit that Apple is little better - they're just more practiced in damage control and under considerably less scrutiny in the international market.

- Not allowing me to play PS2 software on my PS3
thats becouse they were still selling ps2. pure business. u blame them for trying to stay alive ? they sell ps3 offprice anyway. btw, i can bet my ballz it will be changed 'soon'.
- Making fun of the Wii remote and then coming out with the Move
i think they were making fun of wii games, just like me. all this move stuff is awesome.
- Not letting me run linux on my PS3
dunno how they could have interest in letting ppl doing this. there would be more problems with it after each released version than its worth. and then u would whine coz they dont let u use linux properly even if they had let u use linux.
- successfully marketing the PS3 so that I chose to buy one instead of buying a new computer
kinda true, tho i enjoy playing with friends in front of 1 tv, with beer.
- not updating flash so that I could watch most streaming videos
dunno how u got problems with watching any vids :' u will find everything on pootube anyway. i hope u dont mean movies...
- Not having a secure network in the first place
- Pissing off hackers so that they exposed their networks insecurities
show me network which is perfectly secured. also dont blame sony for bored anymous.
- Suing people for releasing a jailbreak for their console
dunno how protecting their money is bad.
- Putting tetris on sale the day after I bought it.
lold, had this with boxes many times before :DDD
personally i dont care/got no comments about other stuff like ff crap.
Don't compare Sony and Apple, Your a fool if you think Apple is capable of being as negligent as Sony.
u already forgot about latest apple drama ?
Greedy yes... negligent no.
seriously, i dont understand why u call it 'greedy'. they protect their business, profits. they spent millions on developing ps3. would u give ur shit for free after that? its easy to talk when u are on the other side... sony did a lot of good shit to make consoles and games cheaper (i mean rly, they reduced cost of games so much). u whine about ps network ? cmon, show me such a complicated shit that always worked well. even sad blender brakes sometimes. i find it silly that u ppl blame sony for anomyous and lg (bluray drama) being retarded...

Apple didn't give credit card thieves a 6 day start on ransacking 75 million accounts while taking down their whole network for almost a week with no explanation.

I will grant you your points... most of my complaining comes down to whining.
I do not want them to give away their stuff for free. I wish there was a better system that resulted in me playing awesome games for free while still having the companies making said games make lot's of profit but I can't really imagine one... well except for me OWNING said profitable gaming company... which is always what I take from Marx... if your not part of the bourgeoisie your not riding easy on the backs of the proletariat... so instead of buying another TV or Console invest in some stock in Sony(or similarly profitable company)... repeat until you own enough of the company to not have to actually work anymore.

77million people affected, roll on the lawsuits. Could Sony go bankrupt down the line because of this?
Given that people have shelled out on a ps3 in the first place Sony did go to considerable efforts (to the detriment of legitimate customers) just to stop a minority from playing homebrew and toying with linux. PSN validation means some games can't even be played offline since the outage and Sony kept the severity of data comprimise behind closed doors for a week.
This is a PR disaster and I can't help but feel sorry for the company.

Apparently the Playstation only accounts for like 5%* of their total revenue so don't feel too bad for them.
*(Arbitrarily selected number... I have trouble reading quarterly earnings statements so I just picked a realistically low number)

another suprise for me. why so much drama that they didnt say anything for 5-6 days ? would u be satisfied with message 'sorry, psn is not working' ? finding the cause takes a while imo.

......It would have been nice to know that your personal information is at risk for those dumb enough to own a ps3.....
Also, I agree. Apple is worse then sony.

From my experience, I would not be sorry for Sony, this is a disaster they set themselves up for, that they then made even worse

Personally I hope that the entire company dies from this. Sony has done much harm to all things digital.
