I understand it's BA so maybe if you used a different game you'd be able to take screenies closer up without ruining the screenshot

i photoshed this one a bit to desaturate everything but the unit exploding and removed the players cursors

open photoshop, open the file, open a screenshot, click on the layers you want, drag it over the screenshot, drop it (you can use "linear dodge (add)" on it if the background is too bright)

Can we have that logo including the text as our official logo? Our current logo is nice but I feel it somehow is not suitable for spring. Its too colorful and too clean (and a bit boring). Spring's logo should look more rough, unpolished and exciting (like Satirik's).

Clean logos are the way forward, this is just Satirik's own little creation, making it the official logo would be a bad move imo. Also, AF makes lots of nice PSDs and all sorts of dems.

I don't like it. It works on these shots but I feel it is largely inflexible as a design goes.

The official spring logo spec is the nice, buttoned up blue-and-orange logo, and that's a good thing.

But that isn't the Spring logo. This is the Spring logo:



Anything with the Spring 'sunburst' shape could be considered a Spring logo. A logo is a recognized shape or arrangement of colors, not a single, inflexible image.



A good example is Microsoft:

I love how people throw attacks at me for not allowing flexibility when all of satiriks logos follow the same style of gold with dark backgrounds, and I myself have put out far more radical versions of the logo.

Its simple. If your advertising or putting officially sanctioned stuff up, follow the spec. It isn't that strict and a tonne of people have already got avatars with turtles and tanks that follow the spec quite rigidly and could be far more open.

The only thing I oppose about Satiriks logo is that he wants it put up as official artwork. Otherwise its good that people are making things for spring =]

If it's clearly the same logo, same shape and color just spiced up a little bit, I see no reason to not use it. It looks better than the official imo.
