Yeah this disappearing projectiles thing is old and although it could be a Spring bug, only seems to happen with specific drivers.

On my previous ATI driver the problem only appeared if Spring was minimized at the time of game start.

Its definitely new for me.

It has never happend to me (except particle limit hiding some particle effects), is definitely not driver related (no driver change).

What im talking about is engine drawn yellow ball bullets completely missing for all units at once.

This started for me in 0.82.5. The other effects such as shields, lasers and missiles are missing in the latest version and intermittently disappearing instead of constantly not there bullets.

Google_Frog, i guess it is this:
http://springrts.com/mantis/view.php?id=2145

looking at the changes between 0.82.4.0 and 0.82.5.0 or even 0.82.5.1, it looks nearly impossible to me, that it would have been introduced there. there are mainly unit-icon drawing related changes in there.
.. someone should test it ;-)

edit: just did. in S44, tank projectile visuals are already borked in 0.82.4.0.

hurr durr.

i downgraded drivers to older version (january 2009). everything is ok now. except i got old drivers :(

uh, my 'starting fps' was 'playable', but when i marked units i had 5 fps.

so i checked f11 and tried to double click every widget on the list. highlight units widget was the problem (ZWSZG !!!!!!!!!!)

both, highlight units and highlight selected units ruin game for me :P

anyway, just saying, i forgive u

hmm, another bug that appeared after last release. binds are reversed, for example - 1x Z was normal mex, 2x Z cloaked/armed. now its reversed. also, first use of bind doesnt work (need to choose something from buildmenu with mouse, after that binds start to 'work')

I have Nvidia Geforce 9300M GS and my fps on the new engine jumps from 1 to 60 0o
About 30 second at 60 fps, then about 60 second at 2 fps
I tried disabling every widget, disabling sound, reinstalling spring, setting graphics to lowest mode, killing any useless processes, updating graphic drivers, but spring is still lagging
I can watch replays without any lags.
//edit: now replays are lagging too :/
Computer:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2x2.0GHz
Nvidia Geforce 9300M GS (256 MB)
2GB RAM DDR2
Windows XP SP3

Screens:
low fps:
http://wstaw.org/w/dpP/linki/
http://wstaw.org/w/dpR/linki/
same game few moments later:
http://wstaw.org/w/dpS/linki/
processor loaded to 50%, but spring shows 6.46%

Thanks in advance ;)
