Unless you prevent unit sharing to enemies, the xp would need to be a non-trivial amount or you could do it with a few of your own units.
I don't think you can get experience by attacking your own units (I tried).
Read what I wrote mate.

Edit @ Jools: I think the point about few using it was more to point out how poorly implemented it is. Any good player will use morph (or should) as soon as they can viably get away with the commander downtime, the advantages are substantial, and it does not take very long to pay for itself.

Im just going to reiterate= Morphing adds no depth to the game, in its current iteration it susbstantially reduces the range of options and strategies available to a player. I see no merit in its existence, and am yet to see anybody arguing intelligently for why it should be included.

I always wanted a com with a corkscrew, so i can open a winningvine or just a whinebottle to toast myself, or to bugfix handson. Just imagine how handy that could be, how usefull, or if you need to drill a hole. Customizeable units are fine, but lets face it, in the end game mechanics (wich the evil moderz have to controll, or else they would be shunned for inbalance) will force everybody into using once Comversion, and one Comversion only. And if you would go to the lenght of balancing those ComAddons out, you just create a miniature RTS-Counterstrike Version with it.

Everything that is more than just a graphics representation of a LvlUpdate is wasted work, took me long to realize that, but hey, here is my confession.

Oops.
