#3 was in the same style as #2, but much better.... although it kinda sucks at the start... and the end. But the middle is cool. Still nowhere near as good as the first.

Have you not seen animatrix? The anime bit that shows how it all started? Those are the thigns I was talking about. If you saw that you'd realise that the APU's where nto the most advanced that existed for humans, such as those huge robotic mech suites, and the machines with those big things with the legs like dr.octopus that tore and shred, the big antigrav bombers, the flying bases, the gigantic battleships shown in the invasion of 01, the huge tanks shown that would make our tanks look like ants, compared to those the defences of Zion where paltry.

In the animatrix Second renaissance, humans create AI, and AI becomes a part fo every part oh human life, they do all the grunt work, they're like the ultimate slaves.
Oneday a robot kills its owner, and the whole thign comes itno question, the government declares machines unsafe and bans them, and as many as possible are scrapped, billions of them in great udnerwater mounds of iron adn steel.
What si left of the machines flees to the middle east where they start a new nation purely of machines, with one city, which they call 01. 01 gets bigger and bigger quickly, and machines make better AI and enter the commercial world.
Amidst the chaos of economic collapse the humans gather their millitary resources around 01 to blockade their trade as their economies fall in tatters around them, 01, holding the majority of all money, and dominating every market on the planet is bombarded from all sides in a nuclear inferno, we see huge antigrav aircraft and huge battleships.
But the nuclear flames had little effect on the metalic citizens of 01, who quickyl rebuilt and marched out in all directions waging war on mankind, nation after nation fell as the machines rampaged across the land destroying all in there path.
So as the government amassed its greatest minds together (que the huge floating airbase witht he big silver dome high amidst the clouds) they agree on their final plan to eradicate the machines once and for all. The machines where reliant on solar energy for their power, so mankind attempted to stop this. The humans thus blotted out the skies, turning blue and white into dark black soot.
The machines however continued, and soon most of humanity was gone.(que loads of battle scenes with huge robots and mech suites). To solve the problem of energy, the machines took what there was left of humanity and used them as batteries. And thus the first matrix was born.
Another part of the animatrix shows a group of people who take rogue machines and pursuade them to join their side, it shows a number of different machines

I could lend a hand determining what sort of units their where, what weapons they had and how powerful they where for each side, and some sort of build tree...........
Aside from that, for the machines they'd use a combination of solar generators and the type of fusion that's mentioned. And their factories are to be of 2 types, production lines and huge slow moving mobile factories.
Machines would use the diggers shown in the matrix movies for metal extraction, hence mobile mexes.
Humans would have to use the current system, solar and nuclear plants, with factories somewhere between generals and OTA.
Machines defences would also be mobile heavy slow moving units, and their con untis would also be slow, essentially untis that cant attack are either too small or too slow to attack anyway.

So was there any massive airstrikes, space bombardment and nuclear warfare in this movie? and it didn't take out the entire robot race? inprobabible.
The Matrix sucks...atleast after the first one...

In SR part 2, there is some terrible massive nuclear bombing and enormous batlle between billion of machines (soldier, squid, larger squid with big laser and lot of tentacles, enormous flying platform with death star like laser) and billion of human ( soldier ,tank with emp cannon, bomber, and big armored walker with big machine guns)

I dont see any Steyr AUG.
Anyway, Machines are esspecially vunerable to Nuclear weapons since of the EMP discharged, unless they went underground (difficult in the middle east), there would be no escaping it...
I hated Starship troopers (movie mainly) because most fighting was done on land, why not bomb the hell out of them and then capture the brain bug? laaaame, just a good excuse to have alot blood and gore, in the Matrix it was an excuse for a HUGE animated battle, since they couldn't afford to do it with actors. Too much $$$.
i'm sure the Animatrix has a nice plotline, it looked cool from what I have seen, I have seen a few episodes, but you need a really need a good plot line for battle, their plotline looks like Terminator and TA combined or something.
Who says robots will EVER turn against us? I don't think they ever will.

EMP resistant?
GrOuNd_ZeRo wrote:Who says robots will EVER turn against us? I don't think they ever will.
I doubt they will too. A: we haven't a chance in hell of coming up with an AI that has free will. Also, with the amount of media (books, films and whatnot) about this sort of thing, we'd smash the things to pieces as soon as a wiff of discontent arouse from them. There would be fail-safes too, I'd imagine
