Isn't it technically legal to do as long as you just say that you have to own OTA for it to be legal, or am I just making things up?

I think that is a common misconception based on the laws allowing you to make a personal backup copy of a work you own a license to use - people equate it with downloading a backup copy.Hobo Joe wrote:Isn't it technically legal to do as long as you just say that you have to own OTA for it to be legal, or am I just making things up?
It contains a all the files of the flash tank.CarRepairer wrote:Does AA for TA contain a model of a flashtank or just a file that says "double the speed of flashtanks" ? There's a big difference there. The former is a Spring mod (post OTA content) the latter is just a simple file that contains no intellectual property.
AA was on sourceforge before it came to Spring.CarRepairer wrote:I'm pretty sure Caydr dind't start using SF until after AASpring came out,
Why did it need to contain the flash tank model if it was a TA mod?Das Bruce wrote:It contains a all the files of the flash tank.CarRepairer wrote:Does AA for TA contain a model of a flashtank or just a file that says "double the speed of flashtanks" ? Misquote, Pxtl said that, not me.Das Bruce wrote:AA was on sourceforge before it came to Spring.CarRepairer wrote:I'm pretty sure Caydr dind't start using SF until after AASpring came out,
I'm not sure if you could override just parts like that, but the main reason was that one monolithic archive containing everything you needed to play was the easiest system to use.CarRepairer wrote:Why did it need to contain the flash tank model if it was a TA mod?
Sorry.CarRepairer wrote: Misquote, Pxtl said that, not me.
