I know it's not an animal, but I would like to own a kumquat tree as a pet.

I will be purchasing one later this year.

I guess the birds are used to people over there. It's too bad that you can't keep one as a pet or feed it. I used to hang peanut butter and seed covered pine cones out for birds to eat. Can't you even have any kind of bird feeder for them? Bird feeders (especially for humming birds) are popular over here. Does anyone over there ever feed them because I would think that it would be difficult to do something like that or have a bird feeder if you can't come within 2 m. of them.
So far, this was the only one i met, which seemed to be used to people somewhat.
We do have bird feeders too here, and it is not illegal to have birds in general, just some species which are enlisted to be endangered. the ravens are on that list. they do not come to normal bird feeders though. maybe cause they are usually not in very open terrain, or cause they learned that when humans try to feed them, they put poison in or whatever.
A site about raven intelligence:

i love some of the commentaries, like this one:
When I lived in Montana there was a pair of Magpies (related to crows and ravens)that LOVED to torture my cat, Spooker. Spooker desparately wanted to kill a bird, but he had no skills. So when Spooker would chase one around on the neighborÔÇÖs roof, itÔÇÖs mate would land directly behind Spooker and peck at his tale or pull out a chunk of hair. Spooker would spin around to try and catch the bird and the other one would swoop up behind the cat and get his tale or hair. My roommate and I watched this for almost an HOUR crying and rolling around on the ground because we were laughing so hard. Those two birds entertained us for the many years we lived there because they always came back to that tree to nest. My cat never caught one bird in his whole life.

They seem interesting. There aren't any ravens around here.

There are a lot of plants that I like and huge variety of them that can grow here:

I'm going to grow that bonsai tree that I have first though.

i read that raven is the general species, having many subtypes, one of which is crow, which are among the biggest, and i think the two in the 3rd pic are crows. what we have around here most often is something between the first and these two, i would say. i am really no expert though.
know your corvidae!
raven is a specific species of the genus corvus. the corvus crows (generally only the msotly black ones) in europe are the rook, hooded + carrion crows, jackdaw and raven. ravens tend to keep far away from humans in europe so in a semi-urban setting you're mostly likely to have seen one of the others. the magpie and jay are the other two common corvidae. all amazing birds and yeah they would be my first choice for a pet if i could somehow look after it properly

the plight of birds of prey in uk (and the western world in general, to a certain extent) is pretty depressing

Those giant isopods are awesome! They live in the Gulf of Mexico and can roll up into a ball just like a roly poly does when you find it under a rock.

If had too
than this one
because otter brain and social skillz are nearly equal raven. Although birds surfing on boars can not be beaten.
PS: Those rocks rock. Although, i had one once, and it jumped right out of my hand into a foes face, so they are not very loyal, and blood thirsty too. Just look at this guy beeing attacked by a crowd of pet-rocks.

hmm, i thought with ferrets, there was something to do with the gender, one stinks and the other does not?
i know with skunks they can have the stink gland removed; i petted a trained skunk and it didn't really smell of anything... conversely i've been over to peoples homes where they have ferrets, and it stinks like death. cute little buggers tho

I guess for dogs and ferrets we human stink like a chemicalfactory accident, so this is relativ. Bigger problem is that ferrets tend to kill a lot of other animals, so i wish to utter a complain about this parrot, when i bought it half a hour ago, it was sitting on its perch like it had been nailed there, and then at home, i introduced him to ferryman my ferret, and i never heard of him after that.
