no you have to load them as your capturing them but a widget is a good idea ill definitely look into it

Does drag capture not work? If that fails it sounds like a bug.

Unless I'm mistaken, you could use rotatable overhead to get down low enough to click on the comm with capture.

You're mistaken, you can't do that. It doesn't let you capture anything dangling in an atlas, besides, you don't need to change camera to click the com anyways.
