Does
not
need
engine
feature.

The
lua
already
exists

But having the 'flammable' tag work across all features would be nice.

Just write some Lua:

If Feature destroyed and Weapon == flame-type then do flame behavior. I could probably write that in about an hour, with P.O.P.S. to perform the actual fire, tbh. I just don't use Features, so I'm not all that interested atm.

The point is that tags should be generalised.

Yeah that seems reasonable but all the other stuff this guy is asking for isn't.

yeah srapop i agree with u 100% except that wz2100 gfx are superior to springs and its actually a finished game. Its under "developement" but thats because the source was released and a bunch of noobs are hacking at it a bit (well thats not fair but not much has happened and projects seems to be dwindling).

The code required is pretty minimal. At any rate - this is a mod side issue. Not something that needs to be added to the engine really, though support for features burning in the way that default trees do would be nice.

a nice Gadget.
what now?flammable tag for everybody or lua?
FLOZi wrote:But having the 'flammable' tag work across all features would be nice.
auto-ignited then?

warzone 2100 somehow reached a point of sophistication, where the game is actually somehow finished.opposed to spring...it just has more possibilities, and is therefore more unstable(than warzone2100).
has very little developers also.

generalising the "flammable" tag instead of writing lua feels somehow like the "better" way to handle fire.
please tell me if i m wrong.

you dont even need a lua you can do it via cob and emit-sfx

if it is flamable make it detect the flame weapons via weapon id, and then emit some fire/smoke.
