It looks like delta siege
It has the metal map of delta seige
It has the heightmap of delta siege
The only thing different is the texture and lack of typemap*
Therefore it is a derivative map, a remake. Pride yourself on a syntactic technicality, but it wont make a difference because it's what everyone here is thinking.
You chose to try and conquer Mount Impossible, even if you do a 5 Star job, even if you do plain better than delta siege original, you have a HUGE way to go still because of the status DS and DSD have acquired. Unless you can do a godly job, you're guaranteed that you'll have to eat some humble pie.

which fucked balance in most mods other than BA
what other mods is dsd popular with?
might have been usefull if you had only taken the top 1/4 of dsd and call it "DSD North" or something so it can be played 2v2.

This map looks nice. I'd rather play this than original DSD because the color is nicer on the eyes. Good job.

Really? I thought I was the only person in existence who though dsd was fugly. Nice to know I'm not alone. I do think behe should do a dsd remake + retexture though, I imagine it would look 100% pimp, whereas this is more me screwing around than anything really. That, and trying to figure out the nuances of the new compiler.

question: why use compilers at all?
springmapedit seems to have the ability to import the texture, heightmap, metalmap of a map etc and output an exact replica of what you have in the editor without any loss of texture detail, heightmap terracing or other problems you guys are always complaining about. do compilers do somthing diffrent/better than the springmapedit compile, or are people just not aware how much ass springmapedit is kicking?
