Some players just have "Favorite" maps they play over and over and over and over and over again until they are very good but when you give them a new map suddenly they are not too good.

So if someone practices something they get good at it and when they don't practice something it isn't as fresh in their mind :/
Anyway a pro is someone who doesn't give a fuck about anyone but themselves, they troll the ta forums inbetween drinkin beer and drinking whisky to remind everyone how much they hate them. Then they join the baddest mother fuckers on ta (what ever clan that is now) and spend more time arguing with their clan on vent and loosing team games than playing serious 1v1s.
They then stop playing ta altogether because no one gives a shit about playing 1v1s or they come up with some bullshit excuse on how team games are more strategic, either way to conclude a pro in ta is someone who probaly left ages ago.

Heh, dont know what it takes to be pro in all mods of spring but let's include BA, XTA and CA only here. They're the most played mods in spring anyway.

Yes that smile is telling how interested I am about everything, it also shows you the smile I have after winning a game. Maybe better known as pro smile.

A pro (in the meaning OP described) is someone who gets a feeling how his opponent plays and tries to adapt. A pro is not someone who blindly executes learned strategy/buildqueue. No matter the map or game, pros will learn fast.

I agree. This is part of what drew me to Spring initially, all those years ago. People were not merely adapting within a single game, but adapting across games... people like Day - and these days, Godde - though they nearly always defeat me, are never dull.

I think the spring community is too small to have the kind of awesome players you find playing popular games such as sc, wc3, fps games.. the kind of individual who will practice every waking moment of his/her life, living, breathing the game. Spring simply doesn't attract that kind of crowd.

I don't find those players awesome. I find them dull.
