Multiplayer really sucks to due lag and also hangs my PC frequently, so I feel really ripped off :S
You can't even choose a map, hardcore servers only start from lvl19.
But mostly the lag is horrible, every decent developer knows you can't do lag free FPS combat using p2p networking.

I've really enjoyed multiplayer, and my connection normally makes multiplayer a horrid idea. With the automatic host migration and host selection I've never had a laggy match. I do have issues with certain elements... thermal sights in multiplayer are very annoying... but there we are.

You kidding me? Thats the best part. My friend and I stayed up all night beating the coop on vet with the gang members and dogs. Then, we advanced to the one with 10 juggernauts. We have beaten Regular on that one after a tough fight, and we are working on veteran now. It turns into a ridiculous chase and usually ends when you get chased into more juggernauts and then you are surrounded. Its great fun though!

Shitty peer-to-peer and no more dedicated servers strikes back:
http://www.modernwarfail2.com/2009/12/0 ... s-tos-aup/
Or to summarize: Lots of ISPs don't allow the creation of a "server" and only limited P2P-activity. As CoD keeps using all of this though many people got warning mails from their ISPs or even things from penalties to a shut-down internet connection. Don't write too much about it in the offcial forums though as those messages get deleted there...
